"Crimson Drops"
“Crimson Drops” is a musical drama presenting Jesus' life on earth, the crucifixion and His resurrection.
The drama was originally produced in the early '90's in Portland, Oregon at New Beginnings Christian Center and called “Blood Bought”. Its focus was on the 7 places Jesus shed His blood. Under the Executive Producer Pastor Larry Huch and directors Sheldon & Carolyn Howard, Nancy was asked to give permission for the use of one of her original songs, “Barabbas” in the drama. Shortly thereafter, Nancy's husband Greg took a job there as Sound Engineer and the family moved from southern California to Oregon in late 1993. Now attending Pastor Huch's church and actually performing “Barabbas” in the drama, Nancy was eventually asked to replace all but three of the songs with her originals.
Nancy and her husband Greg moved back to California in 2003. It was at the encouragement and help of long-time friend George Vallejo and his directing expertise that they decided to revamp and produce the drama with a new name, “Crimson Drops” – the title of one of the songs. With all original music, it has been produced at their church, Praise Chapel of Rancho Cucamonga, under Pastor Larry Neville. The magnificent story line of Jesus did not change of course, but each year the drama has been revised and upgraded. 2010 brought in witness' “first-hand accounts” focusing on the miracles performed by Jesus for an exciting new impact.
John 20:30-31 says, “Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing, you may have eternal life.”

Looking to capture the true meaning of Christmas, this children's play was born. Using old-fashioned props and a lot of imagination, the miracle of our Savior's birth to the world is presented in a simple yet profound way.

Using a very simple narrative, this is Nancy's first attempt at writing a musical drama. Her goal was to present the Gospel in an understandable way to the lost.
